Black or White?

Eleanor Roosevelt said: "Great minds discuss ideas; Average minds discuss events; Small minds discuss people."

How many times have we got into a disagreement with someone over an idea, event, or person? Why is it that we just cannot agree about what really happened?

But wait a second! What if both sides are true? Is it possible to see the same thing differently when you look at it from another angle?

I would like you to take a look at the following 2 minute clip that makes this point beautifully.

And remember, the ability to empathize with an opposing viewpoint is a sure sign of a great mind. This does not mean that we have to completely agree.

So, let's stop fighting over right or wrong, good or bad, black or white and start spending more energy on the stuff that really fulfills us.

I would rather spend my time on things like: the starlit sky on a dark desert night, full moons, going for a walk in the woods on a slightly drizzly day, the chirping morning birds, the sounds of the ocean and the laughter of little kids.

Because, life is too short to waste even a second.
